Ideation: mood boards, color stories, drawings, and writing are often used to develop our thoughts. They are used to express an idea and communicate our concepts. Concepts are born in our minds; within ourselves. I tend not to develop my ideas with traditional methods. I like to go straight the medium. I do utilize computer aided design for 3D modeling and woven and knit structures. Computers are great tools but they lack real hands on development. Blending colors in the cloth, mixing fibers, creating textures, making forms – These ideas are physically form and are grow into my creations.
